Installation and Measuring Instructions
Step 1: Measure Your Doorway Cutout Opening
1. Height Measurement:
Measure from the top edge to the bottom edge of your doorway cutout opening.
Ensure the bottom of the screen will sit just below the opening cutout for optimal functionality.
2. Width Measurement:
Measure the total walkthrough opening width from side to side.
Step 2: Calculate Total Screen Dimensions
The ZIPdoûr is designed to overlap the cutout opening on the inside of the shower room for a secure fit. Please see below: -
1. Width Calculation:
Cutout Opening Width + 50mm each side behind the opening to secure the surrounds
2. Height Calculation:
Cutout Opening Height + 50mm behind the opening at the top to fix the surround
Step 3: Fixing the Screen
1. Fixing Area:
The screen includes a 50mm fixing surround on both sides and the top for secure installation.
Use the 10mm long button screws provided to attach the screen to the inside wall.
2. Fixing Points:
Secure the screen on both sides and the top using the 10mm fixing screws and then securing the poppers in place.
Step 4: Zip Area
The zip area sits inside the doorway opening with a 10mm width on each side.
The zip pull tag is visible from both sides for easy operation.
To ensure that the zip can be easily accessed from inside and outside the shower room, we would always recommend that the zip sits within the opening, therefore, there is some tolerance on the below opening widths: -
600mm wide door - opening can be up to 640mm wide (MAX)
700mm wide door - opening can be up to 740mm wide (MAX)
800mm wide door - opening can be up to 840mm wide (MAX)
900mm wide door - opening can be up to 940mm wide (MAX)
Top Tips for Installation
Ensure the bottom of the door sits just below the opening cutout for optimal functionality.
Double-check measurements before ordering to ensure a precise fit.
You have a tolerance of 40mm based off the width that you choose.
Use the provided screws for secure installation.
Maintenance and Cleaning
The outer fabric is made from UV50+ waterproof polyester, making it easy to clean. Simply wipe with a damp cloth after use.
Regularly inspect the zipper system and fixing points for any wear and tear.
